In Memory of Sharron Saksa McLaughlin

II Corinthians 5:17
if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
the old has gone,
the new has come!

And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
'There she goes! ' ,
there are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout :
'Here she comes!'

 3/25/83 - 8/7/10

That Friday night mom told her she had a surprise for her and to get ready.  Mom took Sharron to a church she had been asked to visit, called Spirit Alive.  Before the service was over Sharron told God she no longer wanted this life and asked Him into her heart. She and mom went home and had a late dinner of breakfast and after that she kissed mom good night and told her ďItís okay little one  (she called her this because Sharron was so much taller) donít worry, it will all be okay." and Sharron went to sleep.  At 5:55 am Saturday August 7th I was woken by a call from mom that she had found Sharron dead in her bed.  Mom went in looking for her hair dryer and noticed Sharron was not snoring, which she did so loudly, and knew something wasn't right.  She saw her lips were blue but still tried to breath for her, with no luck.  She then called me and I had to tell her to call 911.  After many hours it was determined that an autopsy should be done.  In November it came back ruled, in English terms, adverse drug reaction.  Not an over dose, no illegal drugs, just a normal dosage of certain cold meds and an OTC sleep med.

Sharron was my little sister by 2 1/2 years.  I made this site in hope to tell her story and touch others or so that others will read it and be able to help someone they know.  It is also a way to talk about my grief.  You can followmygriefjourney.htm if you click here.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
